Horseshoe Crab Parade
by Robin Spencer

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Dina. She loved horseshoe crabs. Every time she saw an upside down horseshoe crab she gently flipped it over. One day Dina saw two horseshoe crabs. She said hello and continued her walk down the bay. While she walked, she heard a noise behind her. She turned around and saw the two horseshoe crabs and the beautiful pattern path they were making. She let them follow her.

A little further down she saw some upside down horseshoe crabs. She turned them over and continued walking. Then she heard a louder noise behind her. The horseshoe crabs had followed her! It looked like a horseshoe crab parade. By the time she started back she had forty-five horseshoe crabs following her. As she walked back they left her. Soon the first two she had met were the only ones left. What a day! She had been so nice to the horseshoe crabs that they had made a pretty path for her to see.
