Horseshoe Crab

I saw an extraordinary horseshoe crab
She was more beautiful than all the other ugly horseshoe crabs
She was walking into the water
I said to myself,
Why is she so different?
Why is she so extra magnificent?
Why is her worst enemy
not a loggerhead turtle
or a migratory bird
but a human?
