Comments:
This is the second version of a super realistic three-dimensional simulation (sculpture) of an extinct ancient horseshoe crab entitled "Limulus Giganteus". The shape of this creature is inspired by one of the most famous fossil of ancient horseshoe crabs (Weinbergina). Body parts from seven horseshoe crabs were used for this "bio-organic sculpture" by the artist. Yamada has been producing this unique form of three-dimensional artwork since 1968.
